Can we use library functions to get month name c# .net?, someone asked me to explain?

In this article, I will show you how to get list of month names and binding to a dropdownlist via System.Globalization.

It contains the culture related information such as language, country/region, the format patterns for dates, currency and numbers etc.

To use this, you need to reference System.Globalization to the project and imports the namespace System.Globalization to the page.

protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    {
       GetMonthName();
    }
    public void GetMonthName()
    {
        try
        {
            DateTimeFormatInfo dtinfo = DateTimeFormatInfo.GetInstance(null);
            for (int i = 1; i <=12; i++)
            {
                string monthname =dtinfo.GetMonthName(i);
               ddlmonth.Items.Add(new ListItem(monthname, i.ToString()));
            }
        }
        catch (Exception ex)
        {
            Console.WriteLine(ex.ToString());
            return;
        }
    }

Output:

Can we use library functions to get month name
